Belize
1912
Pallottine presence in Belize began in 1912 through the Pallottine Missionary Sisters, who arrived when the country was still known as British Honduras. After a two-day journey by river and horse-drawn carriage, they established a school serving local children in remote interior villages.
Over time, the Sisters expanded to Corozal Town, San Ignacio, and Orange Walk. In 1923, a newly built convent collapsed into the bay during a storm, resulting in the death of two Sisters and the local Bishop. Despite this tragedy, the mission continued to grow and remains active in education, social apostolate, and local vocational development.
