Brazil
The Pallottine mission in Brazil commenced on 4 July 1886, when the first four missionaries arrived and began work in the Veneto Valley, later the seat of the Santa Maria Province (1940).
In 1929, German missionary Fr. Isidore Keppler, SAC, established the Society’s presence in Jacarezinho, which became the foundation of the St. Paul Province. Later, in 1973, Polish Pallottines expanded the mission to Rio de Janeiro and subsequently into the Amazon region.
Brazil today houses two Provinces and one Region, constituting one of the Society’s most extensive presences.
