Burkina Faso

October 21, 2018

The Pallottines established their mission in Burkina Faso on 21 October 2018, when Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parish in Ouagadougou was officially entrusted to the Society. The parish encompasses 177 communities and oversees catechesis for approximately 8,000 children, and was opened through the Polish missionaries.

The following year, the Pallottines founded St. Faustina Parish, extending their pastoral presence in the capital. In 2020, the first Burkinabé Pallottine priest, Fr. Vincent, was ordained, marking a significant moment in the local development of the mission.
