We Are A Mission was established by Fr. Jacob Nampudakam SAC, Rector General of the Society of the Catholic Apostolate (2010-2022), Fr. Peter Sticco SAC, Provincial of the Society’s Immacualte Conception Province, & Julianne Calzonetti in May 2017.

Julianne also serves as its Global Director, implementing diverse initiatives to further the mission of the “Supreme Pontiff, & to help in fulfilling the ordinary and extraordinary needs of the Church, near and far, anywhere in the world.”

We Are A Mission was inspired by Pope Francis, and takes its name from his encyclical Evangelii Gaudium, “I am a mission on this earth; that’s the reason why I’m here in this world.”

St. Vincent Pallotti, an intense Roman visionary, is its Patron, and its distinct spirituality is that of his Patronage to the Pontifical Missionary Union. In 1835, he wrote Statutes that were the guiding force of his work, and verbatim they have become Mission’s own.
