Jubilee of Sport

“Just as no one is born a champion, no one is born a Saint. It's daily training in love that brings us closer to victory."

Over the weekend of June 14-15th, the Church celebrated the Jubilee of Sport; a dynamic means for strengthening human and Christian virtues, elevating the spiritual life, and building a more fraternal world.

We Are A Mission also participated in the International Conference on Sport, The Momentum of Hope, which included Olympic medalists and the President of Athletica Vaticana, Giampaolo Mattei. Each round table session expressed how sport was God’s force that led them to victory over life’s most challenging moments, and that it’s a “precious means for training in human and Christian virtues”.
