Zambia

The Pallottine mission in Zambia began in 1999, when missionaries from India opened the Society’s first mission on the outskirts of Lusaka. Their inaugural parish, Holy Family, included a population of roughly 5,500 families and 25,000 faithful.

In 2012, the mission expanded to St. Michael’s Parish, where the Pallottines established a school and the area’s first health post, serving thousands and prioritizing maternal care.
Given the region’s low life expectancy (approximately 35 years), the mission places strong emphasis on youth development and integral human formation.
