King Charles III & Queen Camilla Arrive in Cortile San Damaso

Ut unum sint! The call for Christian unity made by the Second Vatican Ecumenical Council with such impassioned commitment is finding an ever greater echo in the hearts of believers.
— St. Pope John Paul II

Ut Unum Sint That They May All Be One — is the name of St. Pope John Paul II’s Encyclical On The Commitment to Ecumenism, which reaffirms the Church’s resolve to unity. This dedicated pursuit finds itself all the more relevant this Jubilee Year, as the Holy Father and King Charles III became the first Pope and Royal Monarch to pray together publically since the Reformation.

His Majesty and Queen Camilla arrived to the Apostolic Palace Couryard, Cortile San Damaso, at 10:45 AM, before a private meeting with His Holiness and an exchange of gifts. They then continued onward to the Sistine Chapel, where together they recited the hymns and psalms of midday prayers.
