The Chosen: Vatican City Press Conference
“I wept. I never thought I’d see an American Pope in my lifetime, let alone communicate with him in our language. Being the successor to St. Peter, the entire history of my faith is in one unbroken line. To know that Jesus passed on the Church to Peter and it just kept going, it blows the mind.”
(Jonathan Roumie, Jesus in The Chosen)
Filmmakers & cast members of The Chosen held a Press Conference in Vatican City Monday morning, ahead of the Premiere of Season 5 Episode 4 at Filmoteca Vaticana. The panel included the show’s Director and Creator, Dallas Jenkins, as well as the actors who portray Jesus, John, Mary Magdalene, and the Blessed Mother. They discussed their just-released Season 5, based on the final days of Jesus’ life, and spoke about the intensity of the upcoming Season 6, the Crucifixion.
When asked about how the Series can continue to use cinemotography to change the world, Roumie shared, “if everyone just had a little more Jesus in them before they made a certain decision, before taking actions with anything, before even the mundane, it would change everything.”
